1 As you will see, not a lot has been upodate or modernized at the Hotel Métropole. For example, when was the last time you saw a hotel advertise a Telex service??
2 My aplogies for the "grainyness" of the following images. I used my mobile phone in very low light to take the images.
As you come out of the stairwell, you are met first by the aroma and then by the sight of the well worn carpet.
3 That's my room right down the end of this hallway.
4 Even though the door was locked, you just simply had to push on it for it to open.
5 Not sure what theme or decor they were aiming for but it's probably best described as "Op-Shop chic"???

8 The manufacture date on the TV was 1978 ... so they've got a good run out of it I reckon.
